Beyond the diagnosis
By Mailyn Caparros Layug
This is a personal documentary exploring the impact of PSP (Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy) on my family through interviews, archival footage, and real life moments, it highlights the challenges of caregiving, the emotional toll, and those affected, aiming to raise awareness for the rare disease.
During my time at NCC studying media, I developed strong skills in cinematography and editing, My favourite project was being the director of photography in my class' on location short film project. I learned what it's like to be on a set and gained more knowledge of how to use the Sony A7s. NCC has given me the experience and confidence I need to go into a media apprenticeship.
