This project explores queer culture and my community as a lens to understand the forms of art that shape my identity and creative practice. By highlighting the people, expressions, and aesthetics that inspire me, I aim to celebrate the intersection of personal experience and collective history. Through this reflection, I not only honour where I come from but also envision who I want to become as an artist and individual.

My experience at New City College has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve especially enjoyed the freedom to explore my creativity and express my identity through my work. One project I’m particularly proud of involved exploring queer culture in my community, using various art forms to reflect both personal and shared experiences. Throughout the course, I’ve developed stronger research, design, and presentation skills, which have prepared me with the confidence and tools I need for the next step in my creative journey.
